COMM 262 - Voice and Articulation
Associated Term: Fall 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Recognize and define key elements of vocal anatomy, physiology, and the phonetic alphabet. 2. Demonstrate individualized techniques for self-improvement in voice and articulation. 3. Analyze and direct improvement for own and others’ voice and articulation. 4. Recognize variants in others' vocal and phonemic production. 5. Recognize and appreciate the different habits of sound and voice production, accents, and dialects in various cultures and co-cultures. 6. Phonetically transcribe general American Standard and variations general American Standard speech.
