MUS 129 - Keyboard Skills 1 (Third Term)
Associated Term: Spring 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Play all major scales (hands together, 2 octaves), C, G, D, A, E, B and F minor scales (hands separate, one octave). 2. Play arpeggios of above keys, 2 octaves. 3. Play progressions containing vii6, V7/V, all 7th chords, all cadential formulas (authentic, plagal, deceptive, and Phrygian), diatonice circle of fifths. 4. Play from figured bass, which includes above progressions. 5. Play transposition of short piece.
