MUL 218 - Business Practices for Media Arts
Associated Term: Spring 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Establish an organized and efficient workflow within an organization. 2. Lead client discussions which will allow strategic planning of marketing materials. 3. Demonstrate mastery of project management, including timelines, budgets, oversight of suppliers and personnel. 4. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of standard business practices relating specifically to the media arts industry. 5. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of responsibilities of designers, clients, suppliers and how to resolve problems when they occur. 6. Demonstrate a basic understanding of client-agency relationships.
