HS 235 - The Aging Mind: Understanding and Adapting to Change
Associated Term: Spring 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Ease and even lower anxiety levels of adults who are newly returning to the classroom. 2. Build a foundation of evidence-based knowledge about the science of brain health, particularly concerning memory, learning and aging. 3. Develop a practical understanding of current research related to the structural and functional changes that take place in the brain throughout the lifespan. 4. Apply brain health knowledge to their studies and learning capacities as they age. 5. Apply brain health knowledge both personally and professionally when dealing with and working with older adult populations.
