D 161 - Gyrokinesis
Associated Term: Spring 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Achieve an understanding of the philosophy of movement utilized in Gyrokinesis 2. Develop a command over the techniques of breath and movement connection and fluidity through postures used in Gyrokinesis. 3. Critically assess and discuss their own experience of body/mind awareness and sense of well being. 4. Identify what is unique to Gyrokinesis in relation to other somatic practices (Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc.) 5. Physically perform the movement vocabulary of Gyrokinesis
