Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Understand payroll compliance with state and federal regulations 2. Know how to research current and proposed laws and regulations that affect payroll and/or the payroll process 3. Understand how payroll is accounted for and how it affects the accounting cycle 4. Be able to complete year end payroll tax procedures and forms 5. Understand payroll best practices and be able to assess and implement changes to a payroll system 6.
